SERVICE TECHNICIAN
GAMESA ELECTRIC, a company belonging to the ABB Group, is currently looking for a SERVICE TECHNICIAN.
Your Role and Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll help run what runs the world, by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact.
As an After Sales Technician, a day begins with reviewing service schedules and preparing tools and parts for on-site visits. Travel to customer locations to diagnose, repair, and maintain equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum satisfaction. Handl both planned maintenance and urgent technical issues, document service activities, and communicate clearly with clients and support teams. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with customer service, making each day dynamic and solution-focused.
- Technical Assistance on-site (80% annual journey) and remote (20% annual journey) to resolve the incidents of all our supplied equipments (PV Inverters, BESS and PCS Equipment, MV Switchgear, MV Transformers, Auxiliary panels).
- Daily and technical assistance reports.
- Knowledge and experience in power electronics, interpretation of electrical diagrams, communication networks.
- Remote follow-up of the general operation of equipments with the ability to prevent future errors
- Coordination with engineering department for improvements requests and retrofits

The Service Team plays a critical role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and longevity of Siemens Gamesa's power electronic systems across global wind energy projects. This division is responsible for technical support, maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrades of key components such as converters, inverters, and control systems.
Structure & Collaboration
The team is structured into specialized units:
- After Sales Technicians: Provide on-site diagnostics and repairs.
- Service Engineers: Manage service requests and ensure timely resolution and they give remote support and monitoring
- Spare Parts & Logistics: Ensure availability and delivery of critical components.
These units work closely with R&D, Quality Assurance, and Customer Operations, creating a feedback loop that drives continuous improvement and innovation.
Qualifications for the Role
- Intermediate Level Vocational Education and Training (VET) Module in Electronic, Electrical, Removable Energy or similar
- 3 years experience on a similar role
- Availability for short-term and high-frequency trips, both national and international.
- English level: B2 or higher
- Adaptability, proactive, capacity for initiative and autonomy and commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Valid Class B driving license required.
